Buying parts

Post by Carl1971 » Sun Jul 28, 2019 10:22 am

Hello everyone
I've recently bought a Robin mk2 which had travelled round the country for cancer research. Rob and Gary Robin round Britain in 2017 . Really lovely little car and I would really like to fully restore it . I'm looking for the grommets that go round the heater hoses . Also I'm thinking of changing the fuel pump to an electric type and removing the mechanical one and fiting a blanking plate . Is this a good idea . ? . My two front headlights stick out at the top and there is a small gap . I believe that they are feista lights . Any ideas where I could get original reliant lights would be appreciated. Thanks everyone

I wouldn't bother with a electric fuel pump, the mechanical ones are very reliable and if you get a electric one you need a very low PSI pump: ive seen people fit motorbike ones etc and they always force too much fuel into the chamber and it all comes out of the overflow

also the headlights are fiesta mk2, they are like rocking horse poop as they stopped making them 18 months ago, if your headlights aren't black just leave them
